Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team specializing in wound care and dermatology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing chronic and acute wounds, skin conditions, and dermatological procedures. This role involves providing patient-centered care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds, as well as dermatological conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as debridement, biopsies, wound dressing changes, and minor dermatologic interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on wound and skin care management, preventive measures, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  • Utilize advanced technology and techniques for wound care, including negative pressure wound therapy and advanced dressings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in wound care and dermatology through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Utah.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP, ANCC) required.
  • Specialized training or certification in wound care (e.g., Wound Care Certified Certified Wound Specialist strongly preferred or willing to obtain upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care and/or dermatology.
  • Proficiency in dermatologic procedures and wound management techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.

Experience

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Familiarity with aesthetic dermatology treatments (optional, depending on the role).
  • Experience in Wound Care
  • Leadership or mentoring experience in a clinical setting.
