Performs intermediate clerical and technical work involving the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment and the maintenance of related records; does related work as required. This position will be dedicated to the Emergency Medical Services division. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the EMS Division Head.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)Oversee ordering, receiving, and issuing of supplies and assets for the division.Maintains purchasing records, issuing purchase orders after verifying availability of funds.Maintains accountability of drugs and rotation of perishable items.Maintains a detailed list of equipment for the division and resource list of available emergency equipment in the county.Assists with the annual preparation of fiscal year budget related to duties and functions of position.Responsible for maintenance of the supply warehouse and inventory control systems.Creating and submitting purchase requisitions; preparing and maintaining reports, records and files; assist with the preparation of annual budget regarding materials, supplies and equipment; and answering work related questions from staff and vendors.Works closely with supply vendors and representatives. Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member.Performs related tasks as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Associates/Technical degree or considerable experience in the procurement, maintenance, and distribution of supplies, materials, and equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Possession of an active driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina
