Description
Pharmacy technicians work under direct and immediate supervision of a registered pharmacist. Assists pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications and I.V. admixture, maintenance of drug inventory and patient records, preparation of antineoplastic agents for patients of: infants (0-1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescence (13-18 years), adult (19-69 years), geriatric (>70 years) and other hospital departments for optimal patient care.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent education
Eligible for registration with NC Board of Pharmacy
Nationally certified by a certification board recognized by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
Experience:
Minimum of one years’ experience in hospital pharmacy or two years in retail pharmacy.
