What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Paraprofessional position at Onsted Community Schools?
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in working with children and adults.
- Ability to supervise and develop a rapport with children.
- Ability to write and spell with a degree of accuracy.
- Be familiar with technology.
- Must pass a physical examination prior to commencing duties.
- 2-4 year college degree is preferable.
- Valid Driver’s License is required
REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL and TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will follow the student’s IEP goals.
- Will supervise and/or provide transportation to/from school with a school owned vehicle.
- Will take direction from the transportation director and building principal.
- Will participate in training as assigned.
- Will maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students, experiences and school incidents. Will discuss student concerns with supervising staff only, not with parents directly.
- Will do other tasks as assigned by the principal, transportation director and superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Days to be scheduled and terms per the master agreement.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
