The Ontario Airport Hotel is under new ownership and is currently undergoing a full renovation to transform our 309-room property into a premier destination for travelers. We are excited to enhance our offerings and create unforgettable experiences for our guests. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bartender to join our team. Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, explain menu items and dietary considerations, and take accurate orders
· Maintain a clean and organized bar area, bar unit, tables, including stocking supplies, washing glassware, and ensuring cleanliness.
· Provide friendly and efficient customer service, building rapport with patrons and addressing their needs.
· Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment through POS system
· Comfortability with material to be able to upsell and promote substitutes based on our selection of offerings
· Greeting guests warmly, assist with seating, and provide menus, water, and drinks
· Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery
· Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining proper presentation and timing
· Monitor guest satisfaction, addressing requests, refilling drinks, and clearing plates
· Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management as needed
· Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
· Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption.
· Manage inventory and restock bar supplies as needed.
· Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements:
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Valid CA RBS Certification required
· Experience in food service or catering is preferred but not required.
· Must have a valid CA Food Handler Certification
· Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
· Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience with ample knowledge of wines and liquors a must
- Must have Hotel experience
