To be considered for the Estimator opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferred or applicable experience
- Purchasing experience
- Knowledge of supplier base in the aerospace industry a plus
- Familiarity with engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, bills of material
- Candidate must be very proficient using Microsoft Products with strong focus on Excel
- CRM and/or ERP experience preferred
- Visio/flowcharts experience preferred
- Ability to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for sales proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability
- Collaborate with pricing analysts to develop comprehensive bid packages that meet customer needs and maximize revenue potential
- Review and understand historical data from previous projects to identify patterns and improve estimating accuracy
- Work with sourcing specialists to obtain competitive quotes for materials and equipment needed for each project
- Evaluate quotes, bids, change orders, value engineering reports, and claims for accuracy and completeness of stated costs
- Able to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Basic understanding BOM building and exporting to Excel
- Basic understanding of MNDA process
- Evaluate and ascertain fair and reasonableness of proposed costs
- Maintain accuracy of RFQ cost in system
- Assist in the preparation of small business plans as required

- $65,000- $75,000/year, based on experience
