Our team is looking for a MRO Production Support Engineer to join them. You will report to the General Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Miramar, FL.
To be considered for the MRO Production Support Engineer opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in aerospace MRO, design and/or manufacturing engineering support working with aerospace electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electro-mechanical components and accessories.
- Knowledge of materials, outside special processes (NDI, machining, surface Finish treatment, etc.) and industry specifications
- Ability to read, interpret, understand and apply Engineering Standards
- Effective verbal communication, ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Analytical and Reasoning Ability, Problem Solving
- Ability to read/understand prints & drawings (GD&T), bill of materials, and process sheets
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution, Masters preferred.
- Creation and Maintenance of Work Instructions, BOM, Travelers, Process Sheets, and supplemental data as needed to support all maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.
- Develop primary and supplementary repair, maintenance, technical and testing documentation as required
- Design, development and modification of tooling, fixtures and test equipment as required
- Coordinate and liaison technical support with the cognizant design authority
- Work with offsite engineering team for support and approval when necessary
- Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to achieve key metrics
- Supports all Material Review Board (MRB) activity as required
- Provide technical support for all aspects of the business
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex electronic and electromechanical systems and components.
- Engineering support for all License Transitions
- Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers for new or critical processes.
- Manage multiple activities and overall workload while consistently meeting commit dates.
- Identify, Develop and establish best practices within the organization
- Identify and develop repairs to support legacy product (obsolescence)
- Perform RCCA
- The MRO Production Support Engineer is responsible for all aspects of support for engineering activities within the14 CFR part 145 Repair Station.
- The individual(s) will be responsible for the setup, support and improvement of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product lines
- Is SME for all products as assigned
- Execute on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.
- Advise, direct, and train MRO personnel in repair techniques, methods and best practices
- Review maintenance manuals and related documents to establish and maintain repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA, EASA or CAAC requirements and established procedures
- Provide cross functional support as needed in all areas of the business
- Other duties as assigned.
