Job Summary & Responsibilities Job Description: We are looking for a motivated Computer Science Intern to support our R&D engineering activities, focusing on software development and data analysis projects. The intern will work under the guidance of the Department Manager or a senior engineer and will be responsible for contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and tools. This role will involve collaboration with various engineering teams, including mechanical, manufacturing, IT, and electrical disciplines. Roles and Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications and tools. Participate in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of software projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery. Support the integration of software components and third-party programs. Conduct software testing and quality assurance to ensure high-quality deliverables. Document software processes, code changes, and project progress. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and bugs. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team. Proposed Projects: Implement and test IP address changes, considering different usage in Aspect and Atlas. Develop and upgrade the N2000 back-up utility to a 64-bit version using Visual Studio. Test and develop manufacturable solution to replace a KVM with Raspberry Pi. Measure Ethernet bandwidth of individual devices and asses risk of reaching bandwidth limits. Create data analysis tools to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. Implement software solutions to enhance the functionality of existing systems. Collaborate on the development of new features for our software products. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field. Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C . Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
