Job Summary & Responsibilities Data Scientist The Data Scientist will join a dynamic Global Service Organization. The highly self-motivated individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, operations, software developers and application scientists to innovate, prototype, validate, implement and test advanced data analysis algorithms that enhances operational performance. Roles and Responsibilities: Serve as lead data strategist to identify and integrate datasets, that can drive product capability to improve performance and profit margin. Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and lead to efficiency gains. Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights. Communicate findings to all stakeholders that enables better business decision making. Work in a team or individually to innovate new concepts, develop new/improved methods and machine learning algorithms to address customers’ requirements and close technology gaps. Conceptualize, design and fine-tune algorithms and find the best approach to solve a specific problem. Define new features, create software requirement documents, prepare, and perform test plans. Play a key role in Service Readiness and ensuring customer adoption of Service Products through Operational Excellence. Support Knowledge and Data Management Systems. Lead junior analysts to complete complex projects to deliver value to the company. Qualifications Qualifications: PhD. or equivalent (MS with at least 3 years’ experience) in an engineering discipline or appropriate physical science 10 years’ experience in machine learning, working with real data and successful model development and deployment to achieve better process control. 5 years’ experience in semiconductor as staff data scientist Strong programming skills in Python or C Programming skills in MATLAB/R or experience with scientific computing is a plus. Experience with sql, deep learning, PowerBI, Project Management, leading a scrum team. Strong sense for innovative and creative approaches to solve machine learning problem statements. Experience in the semiconductor or related manufacturing industry is a strong plus. Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus: statistics, estimation and optimization, signal processing, and data visualization. Demonstrate passion to learn new technology and competency to master new concepts. Intellectual honesty and a sense of urgency in driving projects to completion Excellent communication skills, ability to concisely present findings to both internal and external stakeholders Ability to travel up to 25% is preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, iterative development environment or work within a cross-department collaborative setting.
