Job Summary & Responsibilities This Chief of Staff (CoS) is a critical strategic professional focused on supporting key initiatives for the Office of the COO. The CoS drives a tempo of disciplined and predictable execution and establishes operational priorities on behalf of the COO. Onto’s CoS is the behind-the-scenes leader guiding our Operations organization’s daily rhythm. This position will give high performing, high potential professionals an opportunity to accelerate their business and leadership capabilities across multiple domains. Responsibilities: Work closely with the COO across the organization to drive a cadence of consistent organizational execution. They will help establish organizational priorities, identify operational indicators, and implement controls. Lead strategic projects with operational/business/technical program management, including cross-functional initiatives. Will have the core responsibility of making the COO’s time, information, and decision processes more effective. They will act as a key integrator connecting workflows, and a communicator aligning the leadership team with the global organization. Will assist the COO and leaders in the definition, and implementation of policies. Wil anticipate critical path obstacles to business performance and address with diplomacy, maturity, and situational sensitivity. Required Behaviors and Skills: An adept communicator, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring information and direction are transparently communicated. Demonstrated leadership and resourcefulness across a wide range of responsibilities. The ability to address cross organizational strategic, and tactical assignments with urgency and passion. Strict discipline and attention to detail, with the ability to gather, analyze and interpret data. Setting key performance indicators to evaluate and improve team performance. Expertise in developing, interpreting, and offering detailed operational analysis. Focused and results-oriented leaser, capable of synthesizing complex information into clear actions. Ability to keep meetings planed, focused, and effective. A high performer with a track record of significant accomplishments in a similar role. Strong self-initiative, persistence, and ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity. Qualifications The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or other Business-related field (preferably with an MBA) and 10 years of experience in operations/manufacturing/R&D/Engineering management, product and/or program management Exceptional skill in Excel and PowerPoint Significant cross organization program management experience (PMP preferred) Experience in the development, implementation, training, and continued leadership of Product Life Cycle programs Exceptional communication skills, diplomacy, and self-awareness with the ability to rapidly analyze and adjust to their environment.
