OnTrac is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Security Administrator to join our dynamic IT team.
Job Overview: The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with other network professionals and departments to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. The Network Security Administrator is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves provisioning, deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering all network equipment and network security-related hardware and software. The Network Security Administrator will implement, review, and test security measures to protect the networks from cyber-attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters. This position requires collaboration with various departments to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.
Location: Remote but MUST be local to one of the following areas:

Washington, D.C.
Atlanta, GA
Phoenix, AZ
Louisville, KY
Pay: $115,000.00 - $147,000.00
Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
Network Design and Implementation:
Assist in maintenance, designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks design and implement Cloud Networking solutions in GCP/Azure and on-prem
Familiar with appliances such as Fortigate, and Meraki (Firewalls, switches and Wireless)
Provision, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and administer all network equipment and network security-related hardware and software
Implement, review, and test security measures to protect the networks from cyber-attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters
Review, assess, and mitigate network vulnerabilities
Write, review, and update IT Security SOPs
Work towards compliance, mitigation, and remediation processes and procedures
Perform any other tasks or assignments as deemed necessary by the organization
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed
Network Performance and Troubleshooting:
Strong understanding of network security principles and practices
Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and methodologies
Experience with network management and monitoring software
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining network integrity and reliability
Cloud Network Skills: Experience with cloud networking technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Ability to manage and secure cloud-based network infrastructure
Physical Network Skills: Proficiency in managing physical network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Knowledge of network cabling, topology, and physical security measures.
Maximize network performance through ongoing maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting
Investigate and resolve network issues, providing technical support and guidance as needed
Involved in planning and deploying scheduled upgrades
Customer Advocacy and Excellence:
Be a customer advocate with a strong focus on delivering excellence. Ensure the network and security infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available
Participate in On Call rotation
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor network performance and provide regular updates on the network status to team members (TM’s)
Assist in preparing daily status updates, including visualization charts for network performance
Learning and Development:
Stay current with new tools and products. Adapt and learn as new technologies are introduced, vetting these to present possible improvements to the teamQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in network administration and engineering
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure technologies, including routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar are a plus
Desired Skills
Familiarity with network security principles and practices
Experience in designing network solutions and implementing new technologies
Ability to create and present visualization charts for network performance
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
