Job Description

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and performing other necessary pre-treatment processes.
Accurately mix and match paint according to customer specifications.
Skillfully apply paint coatings using spray guns and other application tools.
Inspect finished products for quality, thickness, and uniformity of coating.
Maintain equipment, perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning.
Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations related to work area and materials handling.
Document processes, results, and work performed; maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to schedules.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work overtime as needed.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-3 years related painting experience, including color mixing / matching required.

Experience with surface preparation, spray painting, and finishing processes preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work orders.

Knowledge of spray-painting techniques and other paint application methods for wood materials.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.

Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and frequent lifting of heavy objects.

Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted.

Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Must be able to push weights up to 500 pounds with a team.

Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment.

Visual acuity to inspect paint and products.

Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : $17-19 / hour, Based on Experience
