Maintenance Technician

OnTrack Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of industrial equipment, including water jets, ovens, and presses. This role requires expertise in electro-pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring optimal machine performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including water jet machines, ovens, and presses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry’s best practices and emerging technologies to enhance maintenance processes.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial robots (ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electro-pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and industrial automation systems.
• Experience with robotic systems, particularly ABB, Fanuc, and Yaskawa, is a significant advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and new employees on best practices and safety procedures
• Actively participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
