The Press Brake & Progressive Press Supervisor will oversee daily operations, set up, and troubleshooting of press brake and progressive press machines. This role requires a hands-on leader who is not only highly skilled in operating these machines but also experienced in managing a team to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Supervise: Manage and mentor a team of operators working with press brake and progressive press machines to ensure high productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of press brake and progressive press machines, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve issues with machines to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement solutions, and optimize production efficiency.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all parts produced meet the required specifications and quality standards by conducting regular inspections and measurements.
- Team Development: Train and cross-train team members on machine operations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the shop floor, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of production, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and supervising press brake and progressive press machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading a team, managing workflow, and mentoring staff to improve performance.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of press brake and progressive press operations, including setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills to resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Quality-Focused: Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Safety Conscious: Solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
