Onward Resources is seeking a self-motivated, Instrument Electrical Engineer with knowledge in electrical and controls/automation engineering to lead and/or support assigned projects to ensure the development of effective designs, drawings and documentation to achieve client/owner requirements as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and project execution team.

General Description
Onward Resources is seeking a self-motivated, Instrument Electrical Engineer with knowledge in electrical and controls/automation engineering to lead and/or support assigned projects to ensure the development of effective designs, drawings and documentation to achieve client/owner requirements as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and project execution team.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and review P&IDs and electrical drawings
- Demonstrated work experience in the Upstream/Midstream Oil and Gas Production support
- Management of third-party subcontractors/firms
- Engage in shop and field testing of switchgear and motor control center equipment
- Assist in developing electrical standards and specifications
- Apply design knowledge in medium and low-voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, VFD, and other miscellaneous equipment specifications
- Interact with other engineering disciplines, construction project management, major equipment suppliers, and clients
- Review and approve electrical design deliverables to issue for design and construction. Wiring diagrams, one-lines, electrical area classification plans, power cable and control schedules
- Knowledge of budgets, proposals, bids and budgeting concepts
- Coordinate details and miscellaneous design details with other disciplines and project management
- Apply standard engineering design principles to the extent appropriate
- Experience in electrical modeling programs (SKM, ETAP, etc.) for use to conduct power studies, short-circuit calculations, coordination studies, arc flash calculations, and troubleshooting if required.
- 5 or more years of applicable experience in oil and gas industry
- Specification of low and medium voltage equipment (switchgears, transformers, VFDs, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required
- EIT/PE a plus
- Extensive knowledge of pertinent industry codes is required
- Proven success in developing and executing projects, including objectives, scope, schedule and deliverables.
- Tenacious, results oriented approach to work, with high quality work standards.
- Impeccable personal and professional ethics;
- Some travel involved for field testing (FAT)
- Ability to climb up and down ladders, stairs, and platforms at various heights
- Ability to push, pull, lift 50 lbs to a minimum of 3-4 feet and maneuver equipment or parts as needed
