Onward Search is excited to partner with a school in Pierce County, Washington to find a passionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to support an elementary student in a 1 : 1 setting. This impactful, full-time role begins ASAP and will continue through the remainder of the school year.
Details You Should Know : Location : In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options)Schedule : Monday-Friday, 6.5 hours per dayCaseload : 1 : 1 with elementary-aged studentWeekly Guaranteed Hours : 32.5 hours
Key Responsibilities : Provide direct 1 : 1 behavioral support to an elementary studentImplement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and assist in modifying behaviorCollect data on student progress and behavioral trendsWork closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create a positive learning environmentSupport the development of social skills and communication strategiesAssist with academic tasks and activities, as neededPromote a safe and supportive classroom environmentParticipate in IEP meetings and collaborate on goal-settingDocument progress, challenges, and any incidents to share with the team
Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)Previous experience working with children or students with special needs (behavioral or academic)Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
