Pay: $120,000 - $130,000
Design Director, Brand Packaging Duties:
- Lead and own brand development across multiple clients, ensuring strategic and creative consistency.
- Provide clear direction, mentorship, and feedback to designers, fostering growth and maintaining high-performance standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Production, and Account Management to align project goals and optimize workflows.
- Manage project profitability, budget allocation, and resource planning to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop great ideas and vision that translate into compelling brand stories, demonstrating a strong grasp of design systems and creative strategy.
- Oversee the design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring adherence to creative standards and client objectives.
- Direct photography art direction for food packaging, managing estimates, bookings, and post-production communication.
- Act as the primary creative contact for key clients, building strong relationships and effectively presenting creative concepts.
- Drive thought leadership by staying current with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Ensure quality control and brand consistency across all projects, meeting the agency’s high standards of craftsmanship.
Design Director, Brand Packaging Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in a design leadership role within a tier-1 or tier-2 creative agency environment, with a track record of managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality design solutions.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, packaging design, and visual communication.
- Experience in photography art direction, particularly for food packaging.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Proven ability to think strategically and translate client objectives into impactful design solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
