We’re currently seeking a Front End Developer for a leading financial information and analytics company. This 12-month, hybrid contract role will give you the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team in Peck Slip, NY, as you contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of both frontend and backend components.
About the Opportunity
As a Front End Developer, you will be a key member of the Development team, responsible for creating and optimizing efficient, scalable, and reliable code for a variety of applications. You'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies such as React and Nest.js , while ensuring an exceptional user experience and delivering high-quality solutions. Your contributions will support both frontend user interfaces and backend services, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both frontend and backend components.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Implement and maintain state-of-the-art user interfaces using React , ensuring an excellent user experience.
Develop and optimize server-side applications using Nest.js , with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire stack, from frontend UI to backend services.
Work with version control systems (e.g., Git ) and continuous integration / delivery tools.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, providing recommendations for improvements and innovation.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience); Master’s degree strongly preferred.
At least 8 years of proven experience as a ReactJS Developer , with a strong portfolio showcasing ReactJS and Node.js projects.
Proficiency in frontend technologies, including React , JavaScript , HTML , and CSS .
Strong knowledge of server-side technologies, particularly Nest.js / Express / Fastify .
Familiarity with RESTful API design and best practices.
Solid understanding of version control, particularly Git .
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS , Azure ) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
