Our client is seeking a dedicated Design Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative, digital learning solutions within the Higher Education sector. This is a fully-remote role. 3 month contract on a W2.
This role is not eligible for C2C or Visa Sponsorship.
As a Design Systems Engineer, you will bridge the gap between design and development, standardizing and implementing a scalable design system. Your work will ensure that our client's digital products deliver consistent, intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and implementation of the design system.
- Create and maintain reusable UI components, ensuring they adhere to accessibility standards like WCAG.
- Implement and manage tools like Storybook to streamline design system workflows.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for UI components to ensure quality and functionality.
- Proactively solve problems, balancing business goals with user needs while addressing design system challenges.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the design system.
- Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative and impactful updates to the design system.
Qualifications :
To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
