Position Overview :
Onward Search is excited to partner with a school near Denver, CO, to find a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person role. This is an incredible opportunity to support preschool students (ages 3-5) and make a meaningful impact on their early learning experience. The position begins in mid-April and runs through the remainder of the school year.
Details You Should Know :
Location : In-person only (no hybrid / virtual options)
Schedule : Monday - Thursday, 8 : 15 AM - 4 : 15 PM (flexibility on Fridays)
Hours : 37.5 hours / week
Caseload : Currently 18 students, with a possible 2 additional students
Student Age / Grade Level : Preschool (ages 3-5)
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique learning and developmental needs.
Adapt and modify curriculum to provide differentiated instruction that supports diverse learning styles and abilities.
Create and maintain a structured, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters social-emotional and academic growth.
Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies to support students with cognitive, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to track student development and adjust instruction accordingly.
Collaborate closely with families, therapists, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to ensure comprehensive student support.
Implement behavior management techniques and provide social-emotional guidance to help students develop self-regulation skills.
Facilitate play-based and hands-on learning experiences that promote early literacy, communication, and motor skills.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities to support continuous growth.
Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and maintain accurate student records.
Qualifications :
Colorado Early Childhood Special Education Certification required
