Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Sr. UX/UI Designer. This is a fully remote role and a 6 month contract which may extend.
We are looking for a portfolio that includes case studies of accessibility guidelines and designing for optimal accessibility.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the UX Research team, dive into existing user research, metrics and balance with intuition and sensibility and translate user needs into tangible experiences for our solutions
- Present ideas and concepts to other designers, product managers and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Partner with research to define questions to ask and problems to explore
- Solve complex design problems and drive multiple efforts simultaneously
- Approach the writing experience with consideration for the larger platform experience and business model
- Deeply understand how products connect beyond your own program area, and be mindful of touchpoints in the overall user journey across the latform
Requirements:
- Portfolio that demonstrates your design work in web and mobile solutions. We want to see and understand your process and how you collaborate across functions within the Product Development Lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Product Design, Human Centered Design, or related field required. MFA or advanced degree a plus.
- 7 years' work experience in product development, user experience design, product design, creative, or marketing industries.
- Product development experience in Ed Tech a plus.
- Extensive experience creating low and high fidelity journey maps, workflows, sketches and design documentation.
- High-level understanding of accessibility guidelines and designing for optimal accessibility
