Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: NYC, Onsite, Prefer local candidates
Duration: 6-12 Months
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and business-savvy Business Analyst with strong skills in SQL and Oracle, and a solid understanding of software development practices. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, documented, and translated into effective solutions. Experience with C#/.NET is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and propose data-driven solutions to improve business processes.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from Oracle databases.
- Collaborate with development teams (especially in C#/.NET environments) to support solution design and implementation.
- Support the testing process, including test case development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Act as a liaison between the business and IT teams, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
- Excellent skills in business analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to document workflows, use cases, and process improvements effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with C#/.NET development environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
