What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOT PORTER- ONYX position at ONYX Automotive?

Job Overview – How You’ll Contribute:
ONYX Automotive with The H H Group is growing and looking to add a Lot Porter to our Team. In this role you will assist our Sales Team with the critical task of keeping both the Show Room Floor and Lot full of inventory and looking fresh to enhance the Customer Experience. (Pay is $18/hour)
- Inspect each vehicle for Bar Codes.
- Inspect each vehicle to detect damage.
- Align vehicles on the lot every morning.
- Maintain all lights, pennants, and equipment on the lot.
- Park all unattended vehicles throughout the day in their assigned areas to maximize lot space in front of the dealership.
- Every evening, insure all holes in the new and used display lots are filled, lines are straight, and Customer parking is cleared for the next morning.
Schedule is Monday - Friday either 9am-5pm or 11am-7pm, and every other Saturday.
Qualifications – What You Need to be Successful:
- The ability to move about the dealership to effectively communicate with Customers and Associates.
- Operate vehicles with either manual or automatic transmissions.
- Perform bending, pushing, climbing, leaning, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching and other maneuvers associated with the position.
- Operate a motor vehicle cautiously and safely.
- Lift/move items up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools properly and safely.
- Ability to walk briskly up to 500 yards frequently throughout a shift.
