Senior Paralegal

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the attorney by managing legal cases, conducting thorough legal research, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including personal injury and property damage/bad faith insurance, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Manage legal case files, ensuring all documents are organized, updated, and accessible.
• Transcribe legal documents and correspondence with precision.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by gathering evidence and drafting necessary documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• File legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies in a timely manner.
• Utilize Lexis-Nexis for research and case management tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research techniques and tools, including Lexis-Nexis.
• Strong understanding of personal injury and property claims is preferred.
• Experience in legal case management with a focus on organization and detail.
• Excellent transcription skills for accurate documentation of legal proceedings.
• Strong clerical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Exceptional phone etiquette to maintain professionalism in client interactions.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
