About Internship :
OPS Process Documentation & Standardization Repository.
The NAG Operations department spans multiple countries and various distinct operational models (Marine, Rail, Truck, depot). While there are global procedures, many specific regional processes are not formally documented, and others need updating.
The department needs to create a comprehensive repository of all existing processes, ensuring they are standardized, easily accessible, and optimized for continuous improvement. This will involve reviewing and documenting current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with department members to ensure accuracy and readability.
The intern will work under the OSC director and manager’s direction to build a new repository of OPS processes that will be kept in a central location for easy accessibility and future maintenance.
This internship will provide valuable exposure to container shipping operations and allow the intern to contribute meaningfully to operational improvements.
Issues / problems the project tackles :
- Lack of formally documented regional processes
- Outdated procedures that need review and updates
- Limited accessibility to standardized operational workflows
- Inefficiencies due to non-standardized practices
