As the Director of Operations at Oozlefinch Beers & Blending Nost Brewing Project, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our brewery. Using the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) model, you will ensure that our operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our company vision and goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can drive process improvements, enhance productivity, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the brewery's vision, goals, and long-term strategic plans.
- Create and maintain the V/TO (Vision/Traction Organizer) to ensure company alignment and clarity.
- Develop and implement quarterly and annual priorities in alignment with the brewery's strategic goals.
- Oversee all aspects of brewery operations, including production, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Implement and maintain efficient production schedules to meet demand while minimizing costs and waste.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Conduct regular L10 (Level 10) meetings to ensure effective communication, problem-solving, and progress tracking.
- Ensure the right people are in the right seats, and are in line with the brewery's core values.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Use data and metrics to analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and develop actionable plans for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure targets are met.
- Manage the operations budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and materials to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure reliable supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with the management team to align production with market demand and customer expectations.
- Address customer concerns and feedback related to product quality and delivery, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operations role, preferably in the brewing or beverage industry.
- Proven experience with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) model and its tools (V/TO, Rocks, L10 meetings, Scorecard, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.
- Knowledge of brewing processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
