Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides a wide range of evidence based, person-centered individual psychotherapy to a diverse population of persons presenting with mental health issues; completes timely and meaningful clinical documentation. Collaborates with other clinicians and multidisciplinary team members to meet the needs of shared patients and provides linkage and referrals as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an approved Master’s degree program in social work, counseling psychology or other related mental health field.
- Active and valid Maryland licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor – LGPC required, LCPC preferred or Licensed Social Worker - LMSW required, LCSW-C preferred
- Wide knowledge of evidence-based theory and best practices. The ability to apply effective therapeutic methods across modalities with diverse populations and presenting problems.
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to plan and organize time and tasks, ability to maintain composure under stress.
- Must obtain and maintain BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
