Data Analyst II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our Data Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing data analysis support to Global Operations across the organization. Your primary focus will be on resolving privacy tasks, on-call tasks that require backfilling, tracking DDT tasks, creating bug intake forms, and deprecating stale tables.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build documentation for data assets (pipelines and dashboards) developed by the Data Engineering team.
• Resolve privacy issues and implement data quality checks where applicable.
• Ensure timely availability of data tables.
• Deprecate tables with 0 usage or stale data and identify the next tables for deprecation.
• Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  
  

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in developing ETL pipelines, modifying existing databases, and database management systems
• Strong SQL skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with data infrastructure and tools (e.g., Hive, Presto, Spark).
• Experience with data governance and data quality best practices.
• Experience with Python programming language.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database, and apply knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

Education/Experience:

• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in OP monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
• Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
• Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
• Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
