OP is currently seeking an Sr Accounting Analyst who will be a key member of the accounting team that ensures the timely completion of the period close process and review of account reconciliations for a global automotive company. This position also assists with internal or external audit requirements and various regulatory requirements, and supports business partners by providing accurate accounting information to enable sound decisions and drive management actions.

Requirements
- Perform accounting activities.
- Perform the month-end close process.
- Review and reconcile month-end data reports for respective journal entries.
- Evaluate the accuracy and reasonableness of financial information provided by business partners.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing, recording, and/or reviewing journal entries.
- Ensure balances reflected in the financial statements are accurate.
- Prepare, analyze, and review monthly reports and stand-alone and consolidated fluctuation analyses.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests.
- Support key company and department initiatives.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing analyses and develop additional analyses and activity metrics to meet changing business and informational needs.
- Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS).
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong accounting understanding and expertise.
- Strong written documentation and written and oral communication.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, and ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Public accounting experience with a national firm.
- Advanced Degree. Specify: Accounting.
- Experience working with an ERP application. SAP preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant License.
