What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Executive Manager (Medical Office) position at OPA Behavioral Health?
OPA Behavioral Health is a busy mental health agency that is expanding and growing, currently has 12 offices and looking into adding more offices throughout Florida. We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable HR Manager from the medical field who is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to the personnel. Some of the duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll and behavior, and onboarding new employees.
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive of at least 2 years.
- People oriented and results driven with the ability to impact and influence others.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases (especially ADP)
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Have a degree in Human Resources or related field
- Attend interdepartmental meetings with other managers
- Ability to research compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with administrative team to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
