What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROCESSING MANAGER - LITCHFIELD, MN position at OPAL FOODS COOPERATIVE INC?
The purpose of this role is to manager egg processing operations at assigned location. The position will provide direction and supervision to processing team members in order to achieve quality, safety and operational goals. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations and overall processing results for assigned locations.
Essential Job Functions – Must be able to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Lead site processing operations in obtaining goals.
- Monitor and coach processing team members in order to make them successful in assigned tasks.
- Responsible for timecard review and team member performance management for assigned location(s).
- Lead safety program initiatives for assigned location(s).
- Lead bio-security program initiatives for assigned location(s).
- Oversee regulatory compliance related to assigned location(s).
- Implementation and monitoring of quality programs.
- Constantly look for opportunities to make processes more efficient and in alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Collect and review data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee processing maintenance activities at assigned location(s).
Other Responsibilities
- Other duties and projects as needed to support operational objectives.
Required Qualifications – Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage team members including strong communication skills.
- Must have mechanical understanding with ability to trouble shoot basic mechanics and ability to guide processing maintenance technicians.
- Must be a hands and interactive manager willing to teach/train team members.
Preferred Qualifications – Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, relevant course of studies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in Spanish.
- 5 plus years’ progressive experience in egg processing or related fields.
