Shipping & Receiving Technician
Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Shipping & Receiving for our Roggen CO processing location. This position is primarily responsible for working in the cooler shipping palletized cartons and crates of our eggs to vendors and customers, and also working in the warehouse receiving product packaging and other supplies, and counting inventory. May assist with other projects and duties as needed. Working hours include some weekend and holiday hours to meet customer requirements. Must have excellent work ethic and be extremely reliable and punctual.
Position Responsibilities :
- Follow all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
- Able to count accurately and learn automated inventory system
- Set up work area and prepare for the day
- Inspect, receive and document all incoming trailers for cleanliness, pests, odors and seals
- Set outgoing refrigerated trailers to the correct temperature
- Load and seal pre-cooled trailers with finished product
- Assign loads to drivers
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of cooler and warehouse
- Inspect, receive and document all incoming loads of packaging materials and supplies
- Unload deliveries into cooler and warehouse
- Check and accurately document inventory daily in cooler and in warehouse
- Operate electric pallet jack; drive fork lift
- Help team members with other duties as needed throughout the day
