Job Summary:
Opal Rose is seeking warm, reliable Companion Care Aides to provide non-medical support and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their homes. This role is ideal for someone with a compassionate heart who enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping others live with dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Assist with grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene (as needed)
- Support safe mobility and supervise light physical activities
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Accompany clients on errands, shopping trips, or appointments
- Offer medication reminders (no administration)
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care coordinators
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a caregiver, companion aide, or in a related field preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of safe care practices and basic nutrition
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and handle emergency situations
- Comfortable around small pets
