What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Buffett Attendant position at Opal Sands Resort?

As a Breakfast Attendant you would be primarily responsible for maintaining and breaking down the breakfast buffet and for maintaining the breakfast buffet area. With minimal supervision provide exceptional guest service by welcoming the guests, being present at the station area as well as maintaining the breakfast buffet area in a clean and organized condition at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Normal duty timings are from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM unless otherwise scheduled or advise by management
- Communicates with the Chef’s on daily menu and specials
- Has a full understanding of all ingredients on the buffet
- Preparing foods such as fruit cups, salmon plates and daily rotated items
- Frequently checks for low food supply
- Efficiently replenishes with food, beverages, and/or supplies as needed
- Provides a welcoming environment with personalized service to all guests
- Maintains cleanliness of the buffet area throughout the morning by reorganizing and tidying the food area as necessary.
- Sets up the buffet before guests begin arriving for breakfast
- Displays the food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner
- Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service at all times
- Prepare and consistently maintain buffet area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere
- Preparing foods such as fruit cups, salmon plates and daily rotated items
- Ensure breakfast items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner
- Setting out and arranging cold food such as Danish, muffins, sliced bread, cereal, etc. for self-service
- Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the breakfast shift
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- Any other duties around preparation, set up and service of the breakfast buffet
- Washing, wiping serving equipment and returning it to the breakfast buffet
- Assist with closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations
- Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for next day or shift
- Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
- Previous experience a plus
