- Opal Services has 27 group homes throughout Dakota County, as well as, an Hourly Services Program that supports people in the community. We serve a great group of individuals and are looking for employees that want to make a difference in the lives of others!
What is the role of the DSP?
- Engage individuals in activities both in their home and community
- Teach independent living skills
- Chart, log and document
- Assist with all activities of daily living (personal cares vary from site to site)
- Assist with household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning
- Pass medication (training provided)

Qualifications for the Direct Support Professional include:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
