In this remote position, we are seeking a SeniorData Engineerwith a strong background in various databases, processes, and tools to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain our data-hub and associated integrations.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Performs development tasks to support ELT/ETL data movement, database development and data analysis
- Builds end-to-end ETL pipelines populating data for various data-marts, warehouses, exports and reporting tools
- Supports all SDLC activities in accordance with industry best practices, as well as the government's product lifecycle processes
- Researches and integrates design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities
- Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity
- Participates in special projects as required
- Provides guidance to the data engineering team with code reviews, support infrastructure/operations
- Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- 7 years relevant experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5 years building ETL/ELT processes
- 5 years developing with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo DB, DynamoDB, Cassandra
- 2 years developing in a structured language (Python, Java, C#, etc..)
- Experience with the ingestion and egestion of data in a variety of formats including: CSV, JSON, XML and HL7
- Advanced Knowledge of data structures, queries in both relational and non-relational databases
- 2 years building data flow processes in Databricks
- Experience in integration projects with healthcare-specific standards (HL7, CCD, C-CDA, X12, FHIR, etc.)
- Experience with AWS and Azure storage/data platforms
- The Seattle base salary range for this full-time position is $163k-$192k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
