Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts in cloud technology while partnering effectively with security, engineering, data, customer success, and leadership teams
- Designand implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions to support our data platform and services ecosystem
- Write infrastructure-as-code (primarily in Terraform) and promote best practices in automation and configuration management
- Drive observability initiatives to enhance the reliability and performance of our SaaS products
- Scale infrastructure to meet the demands of business growth while ensuring customer trust in reliability and performance
- Collaborate with leadership and peers to understand organizational needs and provide key input on technical strategies that will support our business goals
- Foster a DevOps culture, ensuring robust CI/CD practices, security, and compliance without compromising developer agility
- Establish and refine best practices, tools, and processes to improve operational efficiency and infrastructure excellence
- Act as a technical mentor and guide, helping team members grow their skills and solve complex technical challenges
- 8 years experience leading cloud infrastructure and IT operations in a SaaS and/or data product setting
- 5 years experience building SaaS/data product infrastructure, preferably in Azure
- 3 years experience with Azure
- 3 years experience working for early stage startups and comfortable with their risks
- Strong hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred)
- Expertise with networking, DNS, etc
- Proven experience designing and implementing architectures for data platforms and service-oriented systems
- Strong expertise in building out balanced observability for our platform and products
- Proven experience mentoring and developing technical team members
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and related standards such as HIPAA, GDPR and HITRUST a plus
Benefits:
- The Seattle base salary range for this full-time position is $188k-$216k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
