The Operations Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the financial and operational success of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across multiple states (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Missouri, and Indiana). This position is responsible for analyzing labor data, forecasting labor trends, and providing strategic insights to ensure facilities operate efficiently and within budget. The Operations Analyst partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and facility leadership teams to optimize labor management based on census fluctuations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and financial objectives.
This is an in-office position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) corporate office, requiring regular collaboration with executive leadership and facility teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Labor & Financial Analysis
- Analyze labor data across multiple facilities to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Forecast labor needs based on census growth and census decline, ensuring appropriate staffing adjustments.
- Monitor payroll reports, overtime usage, and agency labor utilization to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure labor costs align with financial goals and provide recommendations to maintain budget compliance.
- Develop and refine labor efficiency models to improve facility operations and staffing strategies.
- Multi-State Operations Support
- Support facilities in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Missouri, and Indiana, ensuring labor management aligns with state-specific regulations.
- Provide guidance on staffing requirements, and compliance standards across multiple states.
- Work closely with regional and facility leadership teams to ensure financial and operational goals are met.
- Collaborate with Human Resources (Recruitment) and facility administrators to assess staffing needs and ensure recruitment aligns with labor projections.
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for the COO and leadership teams, highlighting labor trends and financial performance.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to healthcare facility leaders to ensure informed decision-making.
- Develop presentations and data insights to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare operations, with a strong focus on labor management and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with healthcare labor regulations in TX, AZ, NM, MO, and IN is highly preferred.
- Preferred but not required : Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) or relevant healthcare leadership experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, labor management systems, and financial forecasting tools.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and payroll systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships with facility leadership teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-state environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to ensure accuracy in labor and financial reporting.
