About Open Air Adventure Park
We are a family-owned aerial adventure park located in Estes Park, Colorado. Since opening in 2014, we’ve welcomed nearly 70,000 adventurers to experience our 32 aerial obstacles at heights of 10 and 21 feet, axe throwing, and guided kayak and hiking tours. Our goal is to create lasting memories, encourage guests to push past their comfort zones, and provide an exceptional outdoor experience in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
In addition to our aerial adventure experiences, we offer guided kayak and hiking trips. Guests get the chance to explore the natural beauty of Estes Park from the water, paddling along scenic routes while taking in breathtaking mountain views. Our guided hikes offer an opportunity to immerse visitors in the natural landscape, providing educational and interactive outdoor experiences. These additional adventure options allow guests to enjoy a full outdoor experience beyond our aerial course.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Manager, you will:
- Help manage daily operations, including guest check-in, booking systems, phone inquiries, and ensuring smooth guest flow.
- Supervise and support a small team of 5 daily employees, ensuring high morale and exceptional guest service.
- Assist in training staff and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Perform and oversee equipment inspections, inventory management, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assist with teambuilding programs, private events, and guided outdoor activities.
- Support guest experiences by facilitating rescues, coaching guests through challenges, and maintaining a positive adventure culture.
- Lead or assist with guided kayak and hiking tours (this is not a requirement).
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership & Outdoor Experience: At least one season as a shift lead, supervisor, keyholder, or manager in an aerial adventure park, challenge course, zipline, rock climbing, or a related field like tourism or outdoor recreation, or a degree in tourism/outdoor recreation.
- Strong Communication Skills: You’re confident in leading briefings, coaching staff, and maintaining a fun yet professional environment.
- Comfort at Heights & Physical Stamina: Able to lift 50 lbs, work on your feet for 6 hours, and confidently work 20 feet in the air.
- Commitment to Safety & Guest Experience: You lead by example, ensuring safety is always the top priority while making guests feel valued, challenged, and supported.
- Availability: Must be available for paid training from May 19th - May 23rd and work most of the season from Memorial Day to Labor Day (some work may be available in early May and extend into October).
- Minimum Age: Must be 21 years old.
Preferred experience (but not required):
- ACCT Level 2 Certification
- CPR & First Aid Certification (will train the right candidate).
- Experience with team building facilitation, ropes courses, kayaking, or other outdoor guiding roles.
- Prior experience in guided hiking trips or outdoor education is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Housing: You can stay on property for free including all utilities if you can provide a place to sleep (camper, van, etc…)
- Pay: $20–$24/hr DOE tips (averaging $2/hr over the summer).
