Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our mission as a Foster Care Licensing Specialist! In this role, you will oversee the licensing process for foster homes, ensuring they meet state regulations and providing essential support to foster families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for potential foster care or adoptive families
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies
- Provide support and guidance to families throughout the licensing process
- Collaborate with agencies and community partners to facilitate placements
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to licensing activities
- Provide pre-service training to foster families
Experience
- Previous experience in social work, childcare, child welfare, and child protective services
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and procedures helpful but not required
- Necessary training is provided
