We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Crisis Clinical Supervisor to oversee crisis response services and provide clinical supervision to our team of crisis clinical assessors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crisis intervention, risk assessment, and behavioral health services. This role requires a highly skilled leader who can manage crisis situations effectively while supporting a team of dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and support crisis clinicians providing community stabilization and crisis intervention services.
  • Conduct clinical oversight, including reviewing assessments, treatment plans, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed clinicians in accordance with state and agency requirements.
  • Assist in developing crisis response protocols and ensure best practices in risk assessment, safety planning, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Facilitate case consultations and team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with community partners, hospitals, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to coordinate crisis care and referrals.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to agency policies, licensing requirements, and insurance regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed to provide crisis support and guidance to staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Licensed as an LCSW in the state of Virginia (required).
  • Experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis stabilization services, risk assessments, and trauma-informed care.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, suicidality, or severe emotional distress.
  • Ability to provide effective clinical supervision and training to staff.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
  • Must be willing to come into our Richmond location 1-2 times per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a 23-hour crisis stabilization program or mobile crisis unit.
  • Knowledge of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) regulations.
  • Certification in crisis intervention (e.g., ASIST, CPI, or similar)
