What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Specialist I position at Open Bank?
Compliance Specialist I will assist the CRA & Compliance Manager in day to day compliance support for branches and to maintain current with bank compliance and CRA requirements. Will assist with the gathering of CRA data, audit checks, and self-assessments for various compliance areas. Will work on projects to improve processes, procedures and other issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
• Assist maintaining policies and procedures as needed, including forms and system input.
• Assist in periodic review and assessment of various compliance regulations as applicable to the all departments of the bank.
• Keep informed of internal policies and practices.
• Review of follow-up items addressed in previous internal audits and examinations.
• Support branches and departments in related compliance requirements and procedures.
• Assist CRA & Compliance Manger with documentation gathering and preparation for department internal audits and regulatory examinations as necessary.
• Assist in the identification and documentation of CRA data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in banking and/or compliance, preferred
• Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the operations functions.
• Ability to retain a broad knowledge of lending related compliance knowledge.
• Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform financial calculations.
• General knowledge of operations regulations, banking laws, and accounting practices.
