Job Description:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer (Level 2 ) to join our team at Open Dealer Exchange. The ideal candidate will have current knowledge and experience in desktop technology, including laptops, telephony, Microsoft Suite of software, Microsoft Active Directory and Azure. A demonstrated delivery of customer service through excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
Responsibilities:
- Work all incidents, according to service level agreements, within the service desk system.
- Troubleshoot and assist end users.
- Leverage enterprise desktop automation tools and recommend additional areas to automate.
- Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software solutions and standardization.
- Document and/or improve procedures relating to standards and policies.
- Maintain Asset Inventory of Hardware/Software and Licensing.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding asset delivery, initial training, and retrieval.
- Manage physical security.
- Perform other IT related duties as assigned.
- Undertake special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree in computer science or related computer discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in Information Technology.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a desktop system support role.
- Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Skills:
- Required skills:
- Microsoft Enterprise products (Entra ID, Autopilot, Intune etc) and M365 Suite.
- Desktop automation tools.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
- Cisco Meraki or another network tool including equipment such as access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytics, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting computer peripherals, such as printers/scanners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Desirable skills:
- ServiceNow or another ITSM tool.
- VoIP system management.
- A/V support.
- Team Lead experience.
