What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Transformation and Quality position at Open Door Health Services?
Open Door Health Services is hiring for a full-time, exempt Director of Transformation and Quality. This position reports to the Chief Clinical Officer/Vice President of Operations.
Picture this:
You’ve just wrapped up a meeting with providers who say, “That new EMR workflow? Game-changer—it cut my charting time in half.” Meanwhile, leadership is reviewing clean, quality data—seeing insights that help improve patient care. And the front desk? They’re flying through check-in with a system that works for them.
That’s the kind of impact you bring.
If you love the challenge of making EMRs smarter, turning messy data into meaningful action, and driving projects that improve both provider workflows and patient outcomes—this role is for you.
At Open Door Health Services, we’re looking for a Director of Transformation and Quality who can see the EMR as more than a system—it’s the key to better care, better data, and better decisions.
You’ll Thrive Here If:
- You believe EMRs should work for people—not slow them down. You love making systems cleaner, faster, and more intuitive for every end user.
- You love the “aha” moments. When a provider tells you, “This actually makes my job easier”—that’s your win.
- You’re the translator between data, tech, and people. Whether it’s EMR updates or quality reporting, you make it make sense for everyone.
- You turn data into action. Whether it’s UDS, HEDIS, or PCMH, you know how to make the numbers tell a story—and use that story to drive real change.
- You see the big picture and the small details. From cross-department workflows to a single data field that’s slowing things down, you find solutions that scale.
- You get energy from helping teams work smarter. When staff and providers see the impact of a change—and actually like it—you know you’re doing it right.
In This Role, You’ll:
- Lead transformation projects that improve workflows, technology use, and patient-centered care.
- Oversee quality reporting (UDS, HEDIS, PCMH) with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and using data to drive care improvements.
- Translate complex data into clear insights that help leadership make data-driven decisions and help providers improve patient care.
- Optimize EMR systems, streamline processes, and make sure end-users actually love the changes.
- Constantly ask: “Is this making life easier for patients and staff?” If not, you fix it.
- Build bridges between leadership, providers, and staff—so improvements stick and everyone’s on board.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5 years in healthcare operations, EMR optimization, or quality improvement
- Strong EMR experience (Athena, Azara preferred) and skills with data tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of UDS, HEDIS, PCMH, and payer quality programs
- Proven success in turning data into actionable strategies that improve care and workflows
- Bonus: Certifications like CPHQ, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma
If you love leading change, driving results, and making a real impact—apply today!
