Documents will be recorded, stored, and become official medical records for the health center.

- Accompany provider during patient visits to document provider assessment and exam in the EMR system to be stored and become part of the official medical record.
- Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for keeping patient information confidential.

- Proofread documents for errors and grammar.
- Refer to standard medical reference materials for clarity.
- Use medical technology to accurately convey diagnosis or treatment.
- Submit transcribed documents in patients official electronic medical records data base.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Performs all other duties assigned.
About you:
- Knowledge of basic keyboarding and computer.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written and oral communication.
- Skilled in record keeping, charting, and report writing.
- Knowledge in medical terminology.
- Requires standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional bending and stretching.
- Requires the ability to work under stressful situations.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment
Typical Working Environment: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substance, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances.
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency. Formal educations or technical college to include classes in medical assisting, medical terminology, nursing, pharmacology, sciences, etc. preferred.
Experience: Prefer experience in a health care setting. EMR experience a plus.
