In the role of Patient Service Representative, you will work closely with your team to ensure flow and accuracy of information meets patient needs and perform a variety of patient focused duties including greeting patients/guests and overseeing the flow of patient traffic in the waiting room areas.
This position is Monday through Friday, fulltime 40 hours per week. You must be able to work between 7:30 am and 7 pm.

- Greet all patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Notify Outreach and Enrollment staff of uninsured patients.
- Comply with regulations, standards, and directives from Open Door Health Services, regulatory agencies, and third-party payers.
- Check out Behavioral Health & WIC clients as needed.

- Accurately perform complete registration of patient clinical, financial, and demographic information in Athena.

- Maintains a sign-in log of vendors, students, and volunteers.
- Copy patient documents for assistance programs and forward to appropriate staff.
- Responsible for seeing that the building is secured in the evening.
- Informing patients of WIC services and appointments with WIC, as needed.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substance, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment.
- Requires standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional bending, stretching or lifting up to 40 pounds.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
- Experience in a health care setting and/or in an office preferred.
- Previous experience as a Receptionist and/or Check-out preferred.
