Evening Men's Support Worker

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Garland Thompson Men's Center at Open Door Mission provides emergency services for men including basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing, as well as life-changing programs that address the root cause of homelessness and poverty (abuse, addiction, etc.).
This position provides direct guest services and supervision, including support of case managers and other staff. Accomplishes and oversees GTMC daily routine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor guests and the public areas within the GTMC. Supervise mealtimes. Manage crisis situations as they occur.
- Provide emergency crisis counseling, problem-solving, and de-escalation to guests and staff.
- Provide medication access, control, and documentation.
- Perform closing procedures at the end of each day.
- Administer drug and alcohol tests.
- Exemplify Jesus Christ daily, sharing the gospel or praying with others as opportunities arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- You have a visible relationship with Christ and regularly attend a Bible-believing church.
- You have the ability to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
- High School Diploma
- Experience in Human Services or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

- Job Type: Full Time
- Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly
- Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday from 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Work Location: Omaha Campus, Garland Thompson Men's Center.
