ABOUT THIS POSITION
Perform all duties around the Council Bluffs Outreach Center and the Timberlake
Outreach Center, as directed. Build relationships with volunteers in an effort to retain them. Facilitate stocking
the outreach center and pantry. Check in consumers at the front desk.

Our Timberlake and Council Bluffs Outreach Centers provides free clothing, shoes, toys, household items, diapers, and client-choice food pantries. Additionally, it collects community donations, which are used to stock the shelves in this site as well as our other outreach locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A full job description will be provided for review during the interview process.
- Assist consumers with labeling furniture items, assist with getting furniture items outside to be loaded,
clearly explain the furniture process to consumers from start to finish. - Make sure that the furniture items available are of good quality, dispose of unusable items, make room
for incoming items. - Maintain a clean work environment in the Furniture area inside and outside of the building, ensuring
aisles inside are clear and safe for consumers to walk through, that the area inside is organized and free
of trash, that the area outside is clean and free of trash. - Ensure that supplies are stocked and ready for the next day.
- Provide spiritual help and encouragement to volunteers and guests when the opportunity arises.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A visible relationship with Jesus Christ, and ability to share the gospel as opportunities arise.
- Consistent attendance at a local Christian church.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to repeatedly bend and lift items from floor level.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE...
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience working with people and handling multiple tasks.
- Must agree with the Open Door Mission Statement of Faith.

DETAILS
- Job Type: Full Time
- Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Tuesday at Council Bluffs, Wednesday - Saturday at TOC)
- Work Location: Timberlake Outreach Center (Omaha) and Council Bluffs Family Outreach Center (Council Bluffs, IA)
