Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Assist with vital sign checks and other basic health assessments as needed.
- Provide compassionate support and assistance to residents with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control procedures within the facility.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent credential in the state of NC.
- Experience in medication management is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand medication instructions.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
