Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant will assist with administrative tasks and support the daytime programming through receptionist duties. The position will join a well-rounded team of leaders and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders. Since 2007, Open Doors had served as Harrisonburg and Rockingham County’s only low-barrier provider, and is dedicated to serving all with dignity, compassion, and kindness.
Duties
Reception
(When a volunteer receptionist is not on duty, the role will assist with the following):
- Answer Center’s general phone number to assist with resources/inquiries
- Assist with in-person resource navigation and access to public services
- Check guests in and notify providers of walk-in/appointments
Administrative Support:
- Manage mail (incoming and outgoing)
- Assist with monthly reconciliation
- Process account receivables and account payables
- Complete data entry (e.g., online gifts, checks, etc.)
- Manage document completion reviews and uploads into system
- Assist Executive Director with reporting and communications
Other:
- Serve as data/reporting point of contact
- Assist with leadership on-call rotation
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Suite required
- Comfort and ability to learn software solutions required
- 1 – 2 years of administrative experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
